 About Me

I'm a military brat, who grew up in various parts of the United States and who has been lucky enough to visit and live in several foreign countries. I'm old enough to have been around the block a few times and to have memories and opinions to share. I've worked as a writer, in real estate, retail and various other nefarious occupations such as wife, mother, and free-lance busy body.

I wandered into Hubpages by accident four years ago and have been here ever since.  It's a wonderful community and I can't begin to describe all the great perks of writing here.One of the biggies is that I can write about whatever I want. I tend to stick to that which is evergreen and that's a good ( and I might add a very profitable) thing.

My Topics on Hubpages

I often write  about  ways of quitting smoking  for good. It's a real crusade of mine since I managed to uinload a two pack a day habit a decade ago.

On a lighter note, I also like to write about travel, saving money, and offbeat history  as well as  fashion and food.

I don't do politics or religion on Hubpages or hang out much in the forums, but I do try to help newcomers whenever and however I can.  I save my political views for my political blog which you can visit anytime. and more personal observations for Pinkpackrat@Pllay, my personal blog
