I'm a military brat, who grew up in various parts of the United States and who has been lucky enough to visit and live in a number of foreign countries as well.  I'm old enough to have been around the block a few times and to have memories and opinions to share. I've worked as a writer, in real estate, retail and various other nefarious occupations such as wife, mother, and free-lance busy body.

I wandered into Hubpages by accident four years ago and have been here ever since.  It's a wonderful community and I can't begin to describe all the great perks of writing here.One of the biggies is that I can write about whatever I want.

My Topics on Hubpages

I often write  about  ways of quitting smoking  for good. It's a real crusade of mine since I managed to uinload a two and a half pack a day habit over a decade ago.

On a lighter note, I also like to write about travel, saving money, and offbeat history  as well as  fashion and food.

I don't do politics or religion on Hubpages or hang out much in the forums.  I save my political views for my political blog which you can visit anytime. and more personal observations for Pinkpackrat@Pllay, my personal blog
